What is Groupon Malaysia?Each day, Groupon Malaysia features an unbeatable deal on the best stuff to do, see, eat, and buy in your city. By promising businesses a minimum number of customers, we get discounts you won’t find anywhere else. We call it "collective buying power!"
I like todays deal - how do I get it?
Just click "Buy Now" before the offer ends at midnight. If the minimum number of people signs up, we’ll charge your card and send you a link to print your Groupon. If not enough people join, no one gets it (and you will be refunded in full), so invite your friends to make sure you get the deal! Groupon Malaysia is also fun to use with parents, grandparents, children, partners, neighbours, teachers, colleagues, school friends and comrades, and your pet cat. Work together to live your city for less!
What happens if the deal doesn’t reach its required minimum number of purchasers?
If not enough people sign up, then the deal is cancelled, and you will be refunded in full. Better luck next time! So if you really want the deal, be sure to get your friends and family to buy. Or beg.
Do I need to make use of my deal the same day I buy it?
Not necessarily. All Groupons come with a validity period, and they usually span to more than a month or so (may vary with individual deal). As long as the Groupon is still valid, you could use it!
I bought a deal - how do I use it?
Once you’re charged, you’ll receive an e-mail with a link to sign in and print your voucher. It has redemption instructions and a map right on it! You can also print your coupon through the My Orders tab, accessible by clicking My Account in the top right corner once you are logged in.
Can I buy a Groupon deal as a gift for someone else?
Yes. We communicate with all the businesses that we work with that coupons can be gifted, and unless the fine print specifically states otherwise... so gift away!
My account
I can’t login into my account!Please note that you can subscribe to our newsletters without creating a Groupon account. Therefore, the fact that you receive our emails does not mean you have registered. If your email address is not recognised, you will have to register to purchase a deal.
I can’t remember my password...
The forgotten password link will send an email to your account-holding email address with a link to reset your password, but there can be a short time-lag before you receive this email.
My purchase
I haven’t received my voucher!Your vouchers are accessible through the "My Groupons" tab, when you click onto "My Account" in the top right corner once you are logged in. Click the printer icon next to the coupon you wish to redeem. Print it and you’re good to go!
I am new to online buying, and am not sure if purchasing vouchers on Groupon is safe. Can I trust Groupon?
You absolutely can. We work with the best payment gateways around to ensure your transactions are fully secured. Internationally, most Groupon countries use a European payment gateway, Adyen - also used by other reputable companies such as Vodafone and KLM Airways.
Does Groupon store my credit card information?
No, we dont. Groupon does not have access to your credit card details at all. While it seems like it is stored in your account, it is actually placed in the highly secure Adyen electronic vault. This is to ease the purchasing process for you, so that shopping on Groupon would be convenient.
Does Groupon have access to our credit card details?
At no point would any Groupon staff (or even Adyen staff) has access to your credit card details - it is highly encrypted and locked from view, just like the payment details for millions of other Groupon customers around the world. The only information available to us to view would be the type of card (Visa or Master) - something to help us identify the type of card you use in order to ease refunds, if any.
I am still uncomfortable with my credit card info being stored - whether with Groupon or with your payment gateway. What can I do?
While we try to move towards global standards, we totally understand how some customers may not prefer to have their payment method saved in the system - and would prefer paying the manual way instead. If this is something you wish, you could always write to us with your account email address to request a permanent removal. We will immediately disable your accounts feature to keep your credit card details.
I just made a payment with my credit card and noticed a couple of sen extra! Whats going on?
As Adyen is not a local provider, it is natural for certain banks to assume the transactions as foreign. While not affecting everyone, a few of you may have had a couple of sen extra charged in your credit card. While we work with local banks to fully diminish this foreign charges, if extra charges incur with your transaction, we would like to refund you the extra amount. Just write to us at support@groupon.my and wed be happy to compensate you for the amount, and more. :)
Can I return a voucher?
Returns are handled on a case-by-case basis. Within the limits of reason, we’ll do what it takes to make you happy. If you’d like to discuss returning a deal, e-mail support@groupon.my.
Under these circumstances, what do you need to process my refund?
Please send an email to support@groupon.my including your voucher code and the associated security code, along with the deal’s name and date of purchase.
Our business partners
If I don’t use the full value of the coupon in one visit, can I use the remainder later?No. Unless otherwise stated, you do not receive store credit or cash back for whatever you don’t use.
Can I combine my Groupon deal with other offers or specials?
No, if not explicitly stated otherwise in the deal.
What if the business for my Groupon deal closes down?
If anything happens that makes it impossible for you to redeem your coupon, we will make sure you get your money back. Write to us at support@groupon.my.

Reward credits: how do they work?
Why should I recommend a friend?The chance of a deal having enough participants increases with every new user that joins Groupon Malaysia. Therefore you should invite as many of your friends as possible, so that you have the greatest chance of getting your favourite deal! If you already have an account with us every time someone you have recommended buys their first deal, we will reward you with RM2!
How can I recommend a friend to Groupon Malaysia?
There are many opportunities to recommend a friend to Groupon Malaysia. On every deal you can find a link, which you can use to send invitations to friends using Twitter, Facebook or Email. On your Personal Recommendation Page you can find your personal reference link, which you can post anywhere on the internet to get people to join up. We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw credit when the recommendation function is being abused.
I haven’t received my reward credit!
Your friend needs to create an account for the first time and have purchased their first deal within 72 hours of the referral. Your reward will appear as "delayed": if after seven days the deal they bought has not been cancelled or withdrawn, and your friend’s payment went through successfully, we will credit your account with RM2, and your next deal will cost RM2 less!
How long is the credit valid for?
Your credit is valid for a whole six months. Keep this in mind!
How can I spend my credit?
You can use your credit on any deal with us, and you redeem it on the payment page. If your credit is worth more than the cost of the deal because you have been recommending lots of friends, then whatever is left over can be redeemed on your next deal, unless it has expired. So be sure to tick the box to use your credit when you checkout.
