Ok rooms are basic but clean and perfectly adequate! The location is the key to this resort-far enough away from cenang beach so you don't have to smell the petrol from the landrovers and motorbikes whizzing up and down or dodge the parasails taking off or landing, and within easy walking distance of some of the best restaurants on the island. Pool is also a must in langkawi if you don't like jelly fish! Breakfast was a good selection and filled us up till dinner. Overall a very pretty resort with a laid back hippy feel. Strongly recommend Frangipani. This is the first hotel ever that greated us by our namnes when checking-in, "Hi you must be the X family". Mighty beach, several pools, peaceful, very nice breakfastbuffet with seaview and a very well developed eco-concept. Try the eco-walk and learn more about it as a hotel-guide shows you around the area. They gave us much more help then we could possibly expect when helping us to get to the hospital when our son had an accident as well. a great place to stay, beautiful setting on the beach, wonderfull sunsets, lovely swimming pools and great beach. Really appreciated the general manager"geoffrey" coming most days to talk to us and other fellow residents. its really good the eco friendly practises that they follow, we were very impressed. we also were very impressed with the friendliness and happiness of all the staff, never experienced this before "anywhere". thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. – Feb 18, 2012
