Before desserts became an after meal indulgence, sugar was mostly used to feed stray ants and the kid next door. Sweeten your after dinner treats with today’s Groupon: for RM99, you get a three-hour hands-on macaroon baking class worth RM220 conducted by Taylor’s Centre for Continuing Professional Education. 

Revisit the halcyon days of education years without the weight of exams or peer pressure to party. Chef Karam, a macaroon master trained by the illustrious Ladurée, showcases his 24 years experience by demonstrating the making and baking process. A simple demo is conducted after which budding pastry professors test their skill with the provided tools and ingredients. Students get to bring home five to ten macaroons, depending on how many were successfully made or accidentally eaten. Macaroon makers are advised to wear non-slip footwear, t-shirt and long pants but slippers are not allowed. A container for the macaroons should also be brought to avoid having to eat everything before leaving. 

Classes will be held in an industrial kitchen with high counter tops making it a non-handicap friendly environment.
