Terracotta Restaurant, named after semi-precious guardian statues of culinary secrets, opens its chambers to more than 40 varieties of Western and Asian cuisine to satiate the appetites of common folk and diplomatic food envoys alike. Tempt palates with finger pickings of assorted sandwiches, rojak buah and salad, before moving on to hefty mains of beef lasagna, Cajun and Shawarma chicken, fish fingers and more. In the background, the local delights station lays its spread of popia, noodles and murtabak for undecided passers-by, while French pastries coyly stand by sidelines waiting to be eyed on. Dessert deities glide down aisles bearing offerings of caramel custard, bread and butter pudding and local kuih, while faithful selections of coffee, tea and cordials provide perpetual provisions for parched devotees.
