In response to the English double-decker bus, the Irish created the triple-decker sandwich in retaliation. Comprised of flightless birds, coleslaw, tomatoes, red onions and lettuce, the Classic Tripledecker sandwich is served with potato chips, satisfying a pack of wolves or a starving glutton. Bread towers may be adorned with additional ingredients, with add-ons ranging from meats to vegetables, or specially processed dough. Quenching thirst, diners get 10% off on all smoothies, ensuring mouths remain as lush as tropical rainforests. Another version of sandwich with chicken crisp was the O’Briens Chicken Tripledecker, aptly named so because 3 layers of bread were used in each sandwich. This meant that there’s an extra layer of filling to satisfy your hunger. This had lettuce and chicken crisp as well, but had an addition of boiled chicken slice and coleslaw to the extra layer. – Aug 26, 2010
