Naïve
novices without prior diving, swimming, or showering skills receive water
wizardry training from scuba diving virtuosos with up to 16 years of
experience. After an hour of diving
explanation and briefing, activated apprentices spend 30 minutes meticulously
setting up full scuba equipment of mask, snorkel, fins, scuba regulator, tank
and weight system and wet suit under the gainful guidance of the instructor. Diving
disciples take their first plunge into a swimming pool with the deepest depth
of two metres for 90 minutes of practical training, honing skills and regaling
in the novelty of breathing underwater while masquerading as mermaids or submarines.
Students completing the
programme may move on to a 5-module PADI Open Water Dive Course (not included
in this package) and skip the first module.
